ESP is a new entertainment street guide for Christchurch. We saw a niche for a publication that encompasses the broad sweep of the creative industries, that talks about what's going on in the city and includes some of the stories about those events and the people involved.  The February 'quake severely limited the ability of performers and artists to show their work but nevertheless many are thinking up ingenious ways to get things rolling again. We feel that this type of mag can only help spread the word. And there really is a lot on offer.

Our focus is on the performers, artists, and designers. As much as possible we want to add to the great work a number of people are doing in the city to promote events and activities and of course to let as much of the population as possible know about it; all in a simple one-stop location. That's our goal and if we can achieve this then this is good for the performers and the audiences of Christchurch alike.

The publication is developed by students working under the umbrella of the Design Studio at the School of Art & Design at CPIT. This is an intern-driven model that sees 4-5 students working for approximately 8 weeks on projects driven by and produced for the Studio.
